This course is suitable for complete beginners, those who want to learn more about meditation or those wanting to return to meditation. This is a non religious course suitable for all backgrounds and cultures.
During this course you will learn about the cause and effect of stress, basic breathing techniques, muscle relaxation exercises and various styles of meditation.
At the end of the 6 week course attendees should feel confident and comfortable practicing meditation. They will have a greater understanding of the fight or flight reaction, their own responses to stress and will be able to disengage from a stress response fairly quickly.
Attendees will also be able to chose a meditation style that suits them best and will be able to report a noticeable improvement in their daily lives through the regular practice of meditation.
The course will be facilitated by Tania Murphy, owner and teacher at Ashgrove Yoga & Holistic Health. Tania holds a Certificate in Meditation Teaching & Holistic Human Development and is registered with the IMTTA - The International Meditation Teachers & Therapists Association. She is also a qualified Reiki Practitioner and Yoga Teacher. She currently teaches weekly classes in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga & Yoga Trapeze at the Ashgrove Yoga Studio.
The full fee for this course is €90 - this includes 6 weekly classes from 6:30pm - 8pm, all class material and online access to help support you to create a regular home meditation practice. Please note this course fee is non refundable. No compensation will be available for any missed classes.
